Memorial Day
Happy Memorial Day! It is time for summer to begin. So, that means cookouts and everything red, white and blue if you are in the USA. This week's update I thought I would start off our patriotic summer theme with an all-American theme. This is a set shot when I was 20 years old. I believe it was the first military theme I shot. At the time I was into WWII Americana images. I loved the patriotic spirit of that era. I attempted to create something around that theme. So, I found vintage Vietnam era woodland jungle fatigues. Shooting in fatigues has become a theme during May, June and July. I am thinking there is a fetish for fatigues and military themes. Wink-wink. I will admit, I like this set. My personal complaint is that I find the outfit confusing. You can tell I was new to creating content. It was the early 2000's. There weren't any manuals for this sort of thing. A lot of trial and error. My underwear is ruffled, like a French maid's. At the time, I wanted something soft and sweet under the uniform. I may have missed the mark on that one. I also put on a fishnet stockings under the uniform, which I found to be a strange choice. I think if I recreated this today, I would likely soften the uniform with pink underwear and no fishnets. But we live and learn. I feel like I start off this set wearing military and then transform into a French maid. But I like the idea of my military themed strip tease in the woods. It makes for a nice fantasy.
I wanted to create a sense of contrast in the set, playing with the idea of soft and hard, military and feminine. By combining the tough military elements with the soft feminine elements, it provides you with a striking visual juxtaposition that surprises and intrigues you. The combination of the two also provides a seductive appeal to the set and increases the overall fantasy of the scene. For instance, the combination of the lacy bra and the combat boots create an intriguing contrast between a traditionally masculine and feminine element. This contrast can draw you in. And if you're really feeling adventurous, throw in a pair of pink bunny slippers and call it a day!
Hope you enjoy one of my early Memorial Day themed sets. It is astonishing to believe I've had this set sitting in the archives for so long. I had never released it before. There is a certain charm to it. It's a reminder of how far I've come since then. I wanted to share it with you all this year. I rediscovered this set in January and knew it would be perfect for Memorial Day. Hope you have an excellent Memorial Day! It is a reminder to be thankful for our freedoms and to honor those who have served our country. We should never forget their sacrifice. We owe them a debt of gratitude for all that they have done. Let us remember their courage and strength. Let us honor them, today and always.
